Life in Bloomfield Village starts out quietly. There’s a farm to look after, crops that need tending, animals to care for, and plenty of neighbors to get to know. That familiar Harvest Moon routine doesn’t last forever, though. A strange mist begins creeping out of the Forest of Echoes, wild animals appear at night, and trouble starts reaching villages across Teradea. Before long, your small farming life turns into a much bigger journey to find out what is happening to the land.

You’re not tied to the farm all day either. Teradea has caves, islands, towns and stretches of wilderness to wander through, with useful items and secrets tucked away along the way. Animal companions are more than pets here; some can help clear obstacles or get you into places you couldn’t reach on your own. Back home, you can keep improving the farm, help local villagers and spend time with characters you grow close to. There are ten romance options as well. It still has the slow, comfortable rhythm people expect from Harvest Moon, but this time there’s a stronger sense of actually heading out and seeing what’s beyond the next field.
